1. The Services

Um Al-Lughat is a platform for learning Arabic through live, one-to-one online video lessons with teachers. Teachers are reviewed and approved by us before they can teach.

2. Your account

• You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Users under 18 may use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Each person may hold one account, and accounts may not be transferred.

3. Packages and payments

• Lessons are sold as packages. Each package includes a number of sessions that must be used within its validity period. The price, number of sessions and validity are shown in the app before you pay.
• Prices are in [Saudi riyals] and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Payment is made in advance through our payment provider, MyFatoorah.
• Sessions not used by the end of the validity period expire. [Confirm the expiry rule.]
• Promo codes are subject to the conditions shown with them and may be withdrawn at any time.

4. Refunds

Packages include a [7-day] money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. [Confirm whether the guarantee applies only if no paid session has been used.] To request a refund, contact info@um-allughat.com. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

5. Booking, cancellation and missed lessons

• You book lessons from a teacher's available times in the app.
• You may cancel a lesson free of charge up to the cancellation deadline shown in the app. A lesson cancelled after that deadline, or missed by the student, counts as used.
• If a teacher cancels or misses a lesson, the session is returned to your package.
• Free trial lessons are limited to [one per student] and are subject to teacher availability.

6. Conduct during lessons

• Join on time, be respectful and use lessons only for learning.
• Do not record, copy or share a lesson without the consent of everyone taking part.
• Do not harass, threaten or discriminate against others, or share unlawful or inappropriate content.
• Do not arrange paid lessons outside the platform with people you met through it. [Confirm this rule.]

7. Additional terms for teachers

• You confirm that the information and qualifications in your application are true. We may verify them and reject or remove a teacher at our discretion.
• You keep your availability up to date and attend the lessons booked with you.
• Earnings for completed lessons are credited to your in-app wallet. You may request a withdrawal to your registered bank account under the schedule, minimum amount and commission shown in the app. [Confirm payout schedule, minimum and commission.]
• You are responsible for any taxes and legal obligations that apply to your earnings.

8. Content and intellectual property

The Services, including the apps, website, design and our learning materials, belong to Um Al-Lughat or its licensors. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without our written permission. You keep ownership of content you upload, such as your profile photo and documents, and you allow us to use it to provide the Services.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the law, or that puts other users at risk. You can delete your account at any time as described in the Privacy Policy. Unused sessions are not refunded when an account is closed for a breach of these terms.

10. Liability

We work to keep the Services available and secure, but we do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted or free of errors, for example because of internet or device problems. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any dispute will be referred to the competent courts in Riyadh.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the updated terms.
